Why do I hate myself? With school almost over, I have the necessary amount of time to do the videos now! Cool. No new art really, been busy with full time job and my two fun classes. Have some /cgl/ otome art. Not really otome, more like drawings for friends.

Occult Academy

What?! The third anime review this week?! Christina, do you have a lot of time of your hands? Well yes I do. Todays horrible anime is Occult Academy! I really did think it was going to be good...oh, was I wrong. Occult Academy actually started off really good for the first two episodes, had a pretty good plot, great animation, and the characters weren't half too bad. The whole anime is suppose to be a mystery, horror occult genre. And then the third episode rolls around, and they start talking about their feelings...and friendship. Gay.

The first episode starts off fairly well, the main character, Maya, is coming back to the school she abandoned for her father's funeral. Then her father's dead body gets possessed and starts running amok causing all sorts of problems. After chopping off her dead father's head, everything goes back to normal! Or did it? At the end of the episode, a naked man from the sky who looks like Apollo Justice floats down to where Maya is. He is a time traveler from the future! Cooool. He has been sent here to destroy the Nostradamus key to save all of mankind from aliens! Wait....what? Yes, on July 21st, 1999, the setting of the story, a portal to a second dimension will open up and aliens will invade the earth. The naked man is Fumiaki, a washed up young adult who use to have psychic powers when he was a kid but can't use them anymore. To his dismay, he got sent here to stop the world getting fucked without any training. Kay.... so things got a lot gayer all of a sudden.

Each episode proceeds to be worse off then the last, turning the whole series into "lol friendship" for about 7 of the middle episodes. How do you go from occult to gay friendship?! I mean, "occult" is in the name of the series! But of course, it gets worse. From horror, to friendship, it finally went to magic. IT TURNED INTO FUCKING UMINEKO. For those who don't know, Umineko was a series that was suppose to be a murder mystery, but then blamed it all on witches and magic! :3 So now we have witches fighting everywhere, and everything is fucking magical. At the end, they beat the bad witch who has huge boobs and everything is a-okay. Or is it? Turns out, the world got fucked cause Fumiaki meets his younger self and "lol time paradox" happens. Now, this literally happens in the last 4 minutes of the show, like, are you serious? An alien comes out of the portal, and instead of letting them take over the Earth, Fumiaki gets all his psychic powers back and fucking just punches them with his mind, killing them and Fumiaki in the process. Cool, the world is saved, talk about awesome pacing right? Maya picks up young Fumiaki and then walks off into the sunset and fucks his little 9 year old ass most likely. END.

Animation: 8/10
Characters: 7/10
Plot: Fucking everywhere and everything 3/10
Overall: If you have nothing better to do, then watch it I guess.

Fucking magic.

Ookami Kakushi

Ookami Kakushi

I started watching this series today, and also finished it today. That's a good thing considering I probably wouldn't try to watch this tomorrow, or any other day. Lets start off by saying this anime is slow. Like, so zeta slow. The first episode starts off with a preview of wants going to happen later in the show. I'm usually okay with this type of story telling, but with this... What they showed didn't even happen till the end of the sixth episode. I had to sit through six slug inching episodes just to see the attention getter? Fuck. I should of just stopped at the first episode really, but of course, you can't judge a book by it's cover...or the first twenty four minutes.

First off, the anime has a really distinctive style that you catch right off the bat. All of the character designs were done by Peach-Pit. So everything is moe moe cute. And at first, I thought this anime was done by them. Unfortunately, no. It originated as a PSP game, which makes a whole lot of sense now, because for one, Peach-Pit makes fairly decent stories. This, not so much. It was actually made by the people who did Higurashi and Umineko. Coolio, I enjoy Higurashi, so I should enjoy this, right?

Basically, the whole town is infested with these werewolf type people. But they do not turn into hairy beasts nor do they sparkle in the sunlight. The werewolf people are attracted to regular humans, but if they kiss them, that person turns into a werewolf with side effects. So, basically whats happening, is all these cool werewolf people are trying to get in bed with the main character cause he smells good. Yes, I said it, BECAUSE HE SMELLS GOOD. The main character, Hiroshi, meets attractive girl who is a werewolf, then werewolf wants to rape Hiroshi. Then the Werewolf rape brigade comes in and kills the werewolf that had the hots for Hiroshi. This happens about three times through out the whole series.

The anime just reeks of bad PSP AI Love visual novel games. They tried to throw in some occult, mystery murder bullshit, but it was obvious that this was just a dating game.Once again, I was shot down thinking this anime would be good.......NOPE. All I can say is I am in love with the Character design of Kushinada, and its really really really making me want to cosplay her even though I don't like the series.

Art: 6/10
Characters: 7/10
Plot: 3/10
Overall: MEH

Anime Reviews

Cause I was too tired before to post a review, here we go. Some of the recent animes I have been watching....

Nabari No Ou

This anime is a fat fan girl's wet dream. Never dreamt I would being so angry watching a season of this shit. Basically, its about ninja in the modern world. A kid named Miharu, who isn't a ninja, gets a super duper awesome technique called the Shinrabanshou, which can basically do anything. Bad guys want the Shinrabanshou of course, and the good ninjas want to protect it and not use it, so there is your shitty plot. Half way through the series, they change the plot from trying to gain control over the technique to a boys love series. Secondary main character, named Yoite, wishes that he doesn't exist anymore because he has a dramatic past. Miharu agrees to grant his wish but then becomes too chicken at the end of the series, awesome right? The onyl good thing about this series is the pretty watercolor backgrounds. Every other episode there was a shitty plot twist, every character was generic as fuck, and the series couldn't stay on plot to kill itself. There is like, a bazillion characters, and they are all eighteen year old pretty boys who have emo pasts. It was a complete and utter disappointment. Thinking about this series makes me not feel as half bad about watching all of Tenjho Tenge.

Art: 3/10
Characters: 2/10
Story: 1/10
Overall shitiness: Shit

AX 2011?!

Good news everyone! Its a suppository! AX 2011 might not exist year, or it will probably dwindle in size more realistically. AX is in debt, maybe it's because of the loss of attendees this year? Probably. AX officially has not given a total number of how many attendees it had this year. Remember last year, how AX was so fast to give the number of attendees out on the main AX website? It was ridiculous. This year, not so much. AX has only given out the total number of total estimated attendees per day, not an actual ticket count of 4 day passes, 2 day passes, ect ect. How do they think they can get away with posting "Lol, we had over 105,000 attendees!" Yeah, sure. So, with a lawsuit on their hands, censoring posts from their forum to facebook, losing around 300k in profits last year, plus a bunch of other bullshit, AX is doing just fiiiiine.

lol.

PAX + Anime Reviews

Pax 2010

It was an odd trip to say the least. The flight and all was great, and the public transportation there is to die for. I loved the Light Link Train to death. It made the hassle of getting from the airport to Downtown Seattle a breeze. We got to the hotel in about 40 mins, which wasn't too bad. The hotel we stayed at, The Silver Cloud Inn, was cozy. A little bit far from the main convention center, but still in walking distance. The area we were in, was HIPSTER TOWN USA. I guess the college is down the block, so there were a bunch of women dressed up as Ramona. Not literally, but, most of the women walking around in that area had dyed blue hair. Luckily, everything in that area had a great selection of fairly cheap restaurants. Dear god, the food. I would of been fine coming to PAX and not setting a foot into the convention hall. The food we ate on the trip was delicious, I would go to Seattle again just to eat the food. lol Now onto the real review PAX.

I felt like I was out of place at the con. The con is basically "STAND IN LINE TO PLAY A DEMO" con. I couldn't explain PAX any better then this. Should of just been named "Line Con 2010". I personally don't give a shit about playing a demo of a game that will be coming out in a year. Also, waiting three hours to play the demo is also a little bit off putting. Duke Nukem and all his glory was there. About a 3 hour wait to hold Duke's dick and then pee. But hey, we got a big bottle of mints that say steroids, so its cool man. Guild Wars II had a huge booth that was near impossible to get into. Disney had a huge booth trying to promote Epic Mickey. I, of course, was very intrigued. They had character artists drawing you or the Disney character of your choice. Pretty sweet right? Too bad the line was about a 2 hour wait. Fun. Another dissapoint, I played Epic Mickey. Why was it a disappointment? Well, Epic Mickey has this beautiful art designs, and great scenery, great everything. And then you play it on a big screen....and well....you notice very fast that this game looks somewhat outdated because of the Wii. So after seeing all this great concept art, it was a big let down. Of course I will be playing it when it comes out, but some enthusiasm would have been lost.

Cosplay Time at PAX. Can I say, awesome?! I start off by saying that PAX attendees do not cosplay, but they love it. I have never gotten so many pictures of my cosplay before when most of the people who were taking the picture, didn't even know who I was cosplaying. Don't know how to explain it really, but it felt like the attendees were estatic about the cosplayers. Every few people I passed gave me a compliment on my costume, it was kind of nice to experience that.

Overall, to me, PAX isn't my cup of tea. I do however love Seattle and all its glory. I don't know if I would be going to it again, or just Sakura-con. But Alex and Adrian loved it, so there's a high possibility to go again.

VIKING CON/MEAD CON/ ALA

Right now, ALA is a maybe. Its far enough in advance to get ready for and there are a whole bunch of people I know going. Right now I'm a maybe for the con. Next few days I might give my total decision though.

Digimon World 3

I shouldn't neglect this thing, but I do. Super duper bored for the last month. Right now playing Digimon World 3. Think the last time I played it was back in middle school. But I gotta say, its still as fun as I remember it. I forgot how good a game was when its fucking vague as fuck. But no, seriously, I like a game that's not always pointing me in the direction I need to go. Games now a days, especially rpgs, are just too easy. Maybe its the age difference thats making them easy now..... nah. You can still be cool at the age of 21 and playing Digimon World 3, am I right?!

Anyways, also started up Fatal Frame 4 with some friends. So far, I don't like it as much as in 3. Maybe its the different setting I'm guessing? With 3, you were in this cool old Japanese mansion that had needle ladies coming out everywhere. What do I get with 4? Some gay nurses in a psych ward. Shit, whenever I see the nurses I just think of San in the nurse outfit again.... So yeah. Also, your playing between 3 main female characters (What I've seen so far) and sorry, they all look fucking the same. All of them have the same fucking hair, same fucking build, oh wait, different clothes I guess? Then again, I guess all Asians look a like. lol

What am I watching right now? Seriously, I couldn't even tell you the name without pulling up the video file. But so far, it's really gay. I have no clue why I'm even finishing this series right now. From the start, I knew it was going to be gay, just from reading the series synopsis. Basically, it is Naruto in a current time setting, but with 50 dicks up his ass like the tail of a peacock. Am I over-exaggerating? I fucking wish. The main character, a 14-16 year old who will find out hes gay for one of the other supporting male characters, tries to be apathetic all the time. But deep down inside him, there is a ninja spirit women thing that will grant him any wish he desires! Wow, such a cool character right? But wait, the cast gets better. Gay fuck buddy number 1, his teacher who might be only 5 years older then him, has a cool piercing and smokes! Generally, hes the character you see in every shouta doujin with an older brother that fucks his adorable younger brother. Awesome right?! Fuck buddy number 2, is your glasses character, with white hair and red eyes! He might as well be Satoshi from DN Angel with a gayer personality. And last, to complete the main cast, is a girl. Yeah. A GIRL. And of course, they give her the bitch attitude to finish up the general census of this series being GAY. The whole series reeks of a women boys love doujin manga artist who's trying to get out the word of gay ninjas. WHAT. THE. FUCK. AM. I. WATCHING?! But nonetheless, I always finish a series that I start. Hey. I finished Tenjou Tenge and made it out of alive...this shouldn't be as horrible. I hope.....

A Fanime Review

Just got back from Fanime, and felt like I should write a little review for what I and others experienced. This was my first time at Fanime, and overall, it was a good experience. Not great, but good none the less.

I'll start off from the beginning. We left at 1 am on Day 1. Alex and I switched off every 2 or so hours to keep us from being bored. We started off the ride with playing Dokapon kingdom while Alex was driving. Adrian raped everyone in the ass, but instead of taking away towns and money when he won, decided that changing all our names to NiggerBitch and Steinlax was funnier, lol. We got there in good time, only took 7 hours when we expected 9 hours of traveling. Would of been there faster, but it started to rain on the "curvy fuck you road I can't see shit because of all the fog". I actually ended up following a cop on that road because I couldn't see shit. If I had Initial D music, it would of been perfect. So we finally got to the hotel, and was surprised to see how nice the Fairmont hotel rooms were. The bathroom was huge, had a big bathtub plus a separate shower area. If we go back to Fanime, I will be sure to book the Fairmont again even though its a longer walk to the con. But really, if anyone complains about a 2 min walk across the street, I really don't think they should be at a con. When we got into the room, I took a nap for 2 hours and then started getting ready for the day.

The Sheryl costume turned out perfect, I loved how I looked in it. There is only two big issues with the costume itself. One: I can't put on/take off the costume by myself. And two: High mother fucking heals. The first one isn't so bad cause Alex and I usually leave and come back to the con together. Until Day 2, when Alex went with Chasen and Jordan to the masquerade and I went back to the room. I didn't realize till I got to the room that I was stuck in costume till Alex came back, lol. Reason 2....I think I might of broken my feet for the first day. The high heals I had were so fucking uncomfortable, I could barley stand. It literally hurt to walk. I went back to the room after getting my badge after 1 hour of walking cause it was so unbearable. Luckily, a Payless shoes store was around the block. Lol, I got a blister from walking in the first high heals for just an hour, so intense. But overall, I had an awesome time cosplaying, and will definitely cosplay Sheryl again at another con.

Okay, now comes the review part for the con itself. To me, it was kind of a let down. The vendor hall wasn't as big as I was expecting while the AA hall was almost as big as the vendor hall. When AA is as big as the vendor hall, I think the management needs to take a step back and try to get more vendors to come to Fanime. There were two things I wanted from Fanime also, and was shot down. One, a pokemon trainer hat, and two, doujin for my two co-workers. Couldn't find a pokemon hat, and there was no doujin booth! Like wait....no doujin booth?! Fanime boasts itself for being a con that caters more the the adult group and has hentai viewing nights, and your fucking tell me there is no doujin booth?! Something is wrong with this picture. Yes, I do realize it's not the conventions fault for not getting certain vendors to come to San Jose, but still....very disappointing. Panel wise, there were a lot of panels I liked and didn't have enough time to go to. I also wanted to attend some of the workshops, but had no clue where they were located inside some of the hotels other then my own. A map of the hotels where the workshops were located would of been nice personally. The convention center it self though, loved it. Simple and sweet to understand for a person like myself. Makes Anime Expo look like a 4 year old plans it.

Now, we move onto the friends part. What made this con great for me, is all the people I met at the con and at the parties. Both nights I was there I got to party with awesome tripfags. The people in my room were awesome too, no drama what so ever with ANYTHING. Every AX I go to, I always have to hear about room drama from mine or different people in our whole group. Fanime though, there was none. Had 4 people in my room, not including myself. Two of my co-workers, Adrian and Patrick, Alex, my boyfriend, and Chasen (Master Shambler), another tripfag. Met a bunch of tripfags at Fanime. Ash, Thomas (YawningGlory), Jordan (EDG), Mika, Onizuka, G, Kaguya, Strawberry, LinhLinh, Minh, Big Wes, and a lot more I can't remember right now because I was drunk for most of the time I was with them. I gotta say, hanging out with those bros, is basically what made my con. I think the best part was going to the arcade drunk and having EDG play parapara while staring at us with the angriest look on his face while me, chasen, and 2 other people stood behind him and became back up dancers. Had so much fun at Thomas' suit also, which was basically the party zone.

Overall, I will say I had a pretty good time at Fanime. The convention itself wasn't bad, but it was no way one of the best cons I have ever gone too either. The only reason I'm going to this con again in the future would be to see the bros and the awesome cosplay scene.

I want a fucking otter.

BOOMER!!!

Railgun

I must say, for once a moe style series didn't make me throw up in mouth. Yes, I'm talking about Railgun. I'm usually not one for animes where its a group of moe girls focused on slice of life comedies, luckily, Railgun was far from that. The main reason I think the series didn't rub me the wrong way was the main character. For once, the main character wasn't a total weak little girl who is slow in the head. Instead, Misaka, the main character, turned out to be one of my favorite female characters. The only thing that bothered me was the all female cast for the most part. They had little cameos of the main male character from Index, but other then that, don't expect any males in Railgun. There are also a few episodes just dedicated to fan service, but for the most part, the series stays on track with the story line. I tried to think what category Railgun would be in, but couldn't think of a simple way to say comedy, sifi, slice of life, fighting, school anime. lol Anyways, overall, the series was fantastic. I really hope they put out a second season for it. I would highly suggest everyone go watch it.

Cosplay, Fanime, and Anorexic Art

What could get any better then that? But yeah, Fanime is coming up in three months! Isn't everyone excited! I know I am. I'm not being sarcastic either. Started to work on cosplay about 2 weeks ago, waiting for stuff to come in the mail so I can start. First cosplay I'm working on is Sheryl from Macross. A lot of people told me not to do Sheryl, because it would ruin their hopes and dreams of a Sheryl cosplayer being an actual 5'9, size D breasts, 110 pound model. I'm going to say this now, actual models don't cosplay. And I'm not trying to be conceited, but I know that I look better then most cosplayers out there. So I will try my best. Other cosplays I want to work on before Fanime is Maria from Maria Holic, and Bridget from Guilty Gear. Maria should be fairly easy to pull off and Bridget, I just need to figure out how to make the shoes without spending fifty dollars. Maybe I will do artist alley at Fanime? Who knows, lol. But with art like above, can you say dollar dollar bills yall? lol

Nom Nom Nom

I like how this picture turned out after all. Just wish her boobs wern't as big. Took about 4-5 hours to complete.
